4000PT 2GB would be my choice. 2 X 1GB will not make your controller work as hard as 4 X 512 and you will achieve better timings on your overclock.

You are overclocking? If not then get dram that allows you 2-2-2-5 @ 200MHz fsb.

Should you fill all 4 slots?


Sure, if you want/need that much RAM.


I would go with the TWINX2048-4000PT, it's faster speed AND they have it tested at 250FSB, which will make OC at 1:1 easier, and pretty good timings there.


If your board supports dual channel, be sure to install them in those slots and make use of that.


I would see about selling the 2 sticks of 256 you have, wouldn't make a huge difference since you would already have 2GBs, and they would pull down the new sticks to 3200 speed, kind of negating the point.

im not sure if ill overclock as i dont know much about it
but my buddy wants to do it to my pc
i think ill let him if it wont damage it
cool and the better rams cheaper which is good
