I can't seem to get past this without BSOD using OCCT. Have tried increasing NB voltage from 1.1 to 1.2 and ram voltage from 1.8 to 1.9 but neither / both helped. Do you think I can go any further with this with my system?
The HT speed seems too low. You want it around it's stock speed (2000mhz). Other than that, maybe a bump in vcore? Mine in particular required a lot.

My cpu voltage is already at 1.475, do you think it would be alright to increase it some more. Note, my temps under load are still under 40C.

Thanks

My x3 OC'd pretty good on my first try.

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=965772

I'm shooting for 4ghz (on air anyways), and I'm still trying to get that fourth core to be stable enough to enter windows :S.

Can I join the awesome leet club of doom and whatnot?

I'm new here but here we go! I'm not sure if I'm doing it right or overclocking right... I'm still learning. CPU voltage is at 1.55v says ASUS Probe... But 1.5125v. CPU/NB At 1.45v. I'm not sure if I'm using enough voltage or too much. I need help trying to find out how to do this lol. I wish I got 3.7GHz+ like you Arghness. My CPU cooler is a Cooler Master v8. I only get 40c full load temperatures. I was wondering if I can give it more voltage since my temperatures are well within safe specs. Please help me I want to go higher!

It looks like your CPU-Z validation was rejected. They only reject, insofar as I can tell, if your overclock just isn't stable enough. Usually more voltage helps, but you're already at 1.55v which is pretty much the limit for Air overclocks. Well, with your temps 1.6v could be worth a try.

As a side note, I bought new ram and apparently I'm not longer able to get over 3.2ghz. I put in the old ram and I can sit stable at 3.7ghz. I'm not really sure *** is going on there. Anything over 240 bus(13.5 mult) just crashes at boot. I can only fathom that my new ram is just bad at underclocking...though I didn't think such a thing existed.

I tested this theory by getting it at 3.25 ghz stable-ish, and only changing the memory timing set. Like, I change it from DDR2-800 to DDR2-667 and it crashed on the middle of the road settings like 667 and 533, but then was stable again at DDR2-400 timings.

I haven't the foggiest why that would happen, but my motherboard disallows the changing of the actual timings by themselves, which will ultimately limit my current setup to 3.2ghz >_<. Either I get 3.7ghz and 2gb of ram, or 3.2 with 4gb of ram. Or, I just need to buy better RAM!

Anyways, 'nuff rambling.

Just relooked at the validation. Says your voltage is 1.136v. That's why it got rejected. Even c'n'q wouldn't drop the voltage like that without also dropping the mutliplier. You must have accidentally set that or something.

EDIT: addition: Just put in old ram and booted up at 3.7ghz even with c'n'q and C1E turned on in bios. I think your processor and mobo are fine, but you may want to look into if your RAM can deal with overclocks.

I'm gonna make 4.0ghz even if it kills my comp!

You should be fine with a little bit more. It took me 1.525 to get mine stable at it doesn't go above 42C.

I find cpu-z is rejecting every submission I throw at it lately, usually because acc is enabled :/ http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=967895 It doesn't add the negative percentiles into the equation hence the rejection when it multiplies the fsb by the multi without equating for the negative acc.
