I don't know. And I don't like Sisandra either .
The GFlops you can get with 2 benchmarks - LinX and IntelBurnTest, they give the same score, so it doesn't matter which one you use I prefer LinX because it gives more info (like a graph of when it will complete, and a total run time).

Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler

heres the before and after Temps:

Just a little better I think

Nice! That is a great temperature difference! Pretty incredible if you ask me... the NHD14 is an amazing cooler from what I've heard.

So your chip unlocks a core AND the L3? Luckyyyy... it doesn't look like you have any overclocking headroom though?

the only complaint i have with the NHD14 is the sheer size - i wanted to put a 3rd 200mm fan on the side but it is just too big - it is damn quiet i know that much - this Case with all these fans running at full pelt is quieter than my old one!!!

As for over-clocking, I have not even tried yet. I am going to let this system bed in a little now and I will probably try a small over-clock later in the year when I get some time off work to spend the time slowly doing it as i have never over-clocked anything before (unless you count a small amount with Riva Tuner and an old Ge Force 6600) and I feel its better safe than sorry.

Yeah I don't think I'd buy that cooler unless I had a full tower... it already gets cramped enough with the huge video cards they make nowadays.

As far as the overclocking goes, it probably won't make much of a difference anyways. When you unlock, it seems to decrease the upper limit of the chip's clock. It varies from chip to chip, but when you factor in the L3 cache as well, there is a pretty large TDP increase. So the extra voltage you already need from unlocking would be even greater, just to gain a few hundred Mhz.

But your chip might be one of those amazing ones that can do it all and more! Good luck

Unlocked mine with L3 but I can't seem to get above 3.5 without going crazy on the voltage.

How do you unlock only cache, but not cores?

Not sure. Try setting number of cores instead of Auto for ACC.

gonna try and see if I can get past that 4.6ghz i saw on here
post #500 of 583
Hit a wall at 4.3ghz that no amount of voltage (up to a point) could overcome.

4320mhz
