Finaly stable again, but only at 3750. Can i raise the voltage even higer that 1.55, perhaps 1.6? how mutch life do that driain from the cpu?
As long as the temprature dont go to high, will it last at least 3years?

Now im running on 3750 MHz at 15x250. My Ht-link is 2000MHz and my Nb is 2000Mhz. My highest cpu temratur on full stresstest is under 40celcius.
My tmpin is 28, 50, 79, what is that? Motherboard is Gigabyte 870A-UD3

It seems to be a tmpin0 on the gpu as well.

What should i do next? tries to get the nb and ht up? how mutch is realistic to manage whit my computer and what temperature should i keep an eye on when
overclocking the NB and HT? What about my ram? Is this something i can gain performance in gaming?

you run it on 1.6 volt i see. Any idea on how long you can expect your cpu to last? What temp are you running on? Im considering raising mine to 1.6, given that the cooler does the jobb good enoufh, but im unsure of the consequens. Will the cpu die in a matter of months 24/7 use or does it just lower the lifetime whit 50-70%? If so, you can get a insanly oc cpu witch holds for 3 years +?

Only problem that I have is that CPU temperature is not being read at all after core unlock.
I have to deduct 7-8 degrees from socket temp to find true CPU temp.

Care to explain what this exactly is: dram cotage controll, NB voltage,NB PCIE V. and CPU NB vid Controll? and witch one can i raise, when and where it gets critical?
And CPU NB VID control, what is that? i have my cpu voltage at 1.536, An athlon x3 450 unloked to phenom ii x4 b50, can how far should i raise the cpu nb vid volt when i
have the cpu volt so far up?

Honestly, only voltage that I ended up increasing AND setting manually, were my Vcore and DRAM.
What you see in HWiNFO64, other than Vcore and DRAM voltage is all auto.
I did try setting those voltages manually, but then for whatever reason CPU temp would ramp up big time, especially VDDA.
When I unlocked it to X3 I had to increase voltage by only .625v.


I'm not quite sure if your motherboard has this option, but i had to disable CPU spectrum control as well as PCIe spectrum control, to get it stable. Also, under NB options, disable memory ECC.


Only problem that I've found is that, make sure once you go above 4.0Ghz OR 1.5vcore (Depends which one you reach fist) to carefully increase CPU BUS and voltage because for some reason it would do 4.1 Ghz on 1.47 Vcore and then it needed drastic voltage incease to achieve that .50mhz...which pissed me off big time.
But it tested stable...sometimes you just have to go with what works.
It takes, day or two to find what works for your chip.

But I wouldn't go above 1.6 on Vcore. Temperature increased to something like 40 C on Idle. Reached 58 C with full load.

With memory, I ended up setting strap to 1600mhz and had to incrase to 1.68125v from stock 1.6500v.

I can go to 4.3 ghz with current 1.56 v core, but it fails Hyper Pi and Linx even though it runs games and it's not crashing. So i'm still trying to figure why it's doing that.
I've ruled out memory since i've seen it OCd to 2000mhz like a champ.
I'll report back if anything changes tongue.gif

Oh and OCing is FUNNNN!

EDIT:

Find your LOWEST POSSIBLE Vcore for your chip at stock Mhz, just so you can put in perspective where it stands. From there you should be able to predict how it will perform.

I have oc ut to 3.7 Mhz ( 14.5 x 256) Ht link is on 2048Mhz 8x Nb Freq. on 2048Mhz as well.
Ram is :Corsair xms3 1333MHz 2x2GB v3.13 stock 1.5v
Kuler H2o 620 cpu cooler

In my motherboard my only votage options are DRAM, Nb, NB PCIE, CPU NB VID, CPU voltage. MIne Athlon x4 450 3.2GHz rana came whit 1.4v cpu and 1.175 CPU NB VID in stock settings.
Now i am up at 1.536cpu /1.250 cpu nb but my temprature is 35-36 celcius, so im considering hitting 1.6cpu voltage to get it stable on 3.8GHz. Not bad to go from 3.2GHz 3 core to 4core 3.8GHz, nice performace for little money!(runs skyrim on absolut highest setting whit a gtx 460 756 MB, clocked to 900 Core clock and 4.2Ghz(3.6 original) memory clock)

But what about NB frequency? i is that important when it comes to gaming? what temprature should i watch out for if i raise it? What about HT LInk? is it any point in overclocking it 200MHz? what should i be carefull about? What about my ram? Can i get it to work faster, improving my gaming performace, by raising volt 10% from stock voltage and lower timings?How do i proceed?

You prob get the point of my situation, im a noob, but not totaly lost,hehe. Please help! If you have done this oc in the past, you prob. can see what kind of advice i need at this point!

HAHA, the room where i have the computere was very cold when i overclocked and stresstested it, when i raised it to around 20 celcius, the cpu temp while stress-testing whit prime95 went up to over 40 celcius,hehe! I have read that the cpu can take as mutch as 75 degrees celcius, and run safely 24/7 on 68, is this true? I think i read it on a site made by amd, but i may be misstaken. Sorry bad english by the way, im Norwegian!

1 more thing, tmpin 1 is on 40 celcius, what is tmpin1?

I got my Athlon to 4.16GHz , but it's completely unstable.

Is there any way to make it stabler?

I also have 4 gigs of Kingston HyperX Blu RAM @ 1650MHz CL10 (It could do CL9 but I don't want it to be a bottleneck for OCing) and a ASRock M3A770DE Motherboard.

I tried rising the voltage to 1.65v, but that doesn't work.

That freq is really high for an Ath, no surprise it's unstable. Try lowering the NB multi, might help. migh not.
