What realy makes a difference is the Anti-ALiasing...the jaggies can get pretty bad in this game.

But honestly Medium settings wont hurt but if he has a 7800GT there's no reason to not have everything on high, that is why we buy higher end cards to get the "eye candy" if we jsut wanted performance we would have settled for a lower end card.

exactly what he said^^^

and plus, i wanna be able to play all the new games that are coming out at near max settings. if im gonna pay $1200+ for a new rig i want it to look at least as good as a $300 xbox 360.

plus, this is kind of a learning process for me. this is my first build and it can be fun, but man, it can piss you off too.
