I wont use this chip for more than a year or two, so if it lowers the life span thats ok.
Now, as to if 1.7 smokes the chip.....Time will tell Once youve run at 3.0+ , you not happy running at anything less. If you know what I mean

Can you feel the difference, honestly? I've had my settings on stock twice without realizing it. I didn't notice any difference until I pulled up PCWizard and forgot I reset CMOS.

I just removed my IHS , what a diffenence . Load is around 32c on water , down from 39c . It was alot eaiser than i though it would be , only cost me some skin and alittle blood (damn exacto knife). I didnt have a back up, but as someone said earlier , 3700's are 230 shipped . Ive run aquamark @3003 (273X11) but it has stability problems in long gaming sessions . Mine runs 24/7 @2915 (265X11) @1.55v. i havent wanted to go much high on the vcore , but after reading this i'll bump to 1.65 and see. Nice rig Crash !

I think a few guys know what I was trying to get at. The original thread I read months ago is found here, at some vastly inferior and subordinate forum whose name just doesn't ring any bells whatsoever.

It came to me that not everyone reads around...so apparently I did some homework for the new guys...
