You can't get a real good cheap kit that is worth putting in if you want a good kit you need to spend more money. Read through the water cooling threads there is so much information there that it would take us all a week to repost it all.

So far I'm finding mine offering a lot of bang for the buck.

More news, as it develops.

Check reviews and owner experiences. Your mileage may vary.

3Ghz to 3.6Ghz to 4Ghz are huge jumps. I think you need to read up on EVERYTHING before you decide to build a watercooling setup and you need to actually read everyone's responses to your questions.

Good block for the money--the white water is a Stew Forster design and only recently eclipsed by his G5 which Swiftech markets as the Storm Extreme Universal WB. http://www.cooltechnica.com/Merchant...tegory_Code=WB

The pump is junk--and as it is the make or break component I would look for a PC specific unit not some aqaurium refit POS.

The rad does not need to be some PC-specific part--the auto part's store, as has been posted above--is the best place to get your rad. I am using a 19.99 universal auto trans cooler and getting into Windows at 4.118 OC--I run stable at 4.09 with 52 C temps folding. That is with my one 120mm fan churning away at 970 RPM and barely pushing air at all (like 30 cfm) when I crank it up to 2700 RPM my temps drop immediately into the mid 40's.

The pump is a key compnent both for noise and system reliability and flow rates as well as pressure head. Getting a cheapo pump is a waste of time and money.

I reccomend the AquaXtreme pump which is marketted under various names but is available from Swiftech. It is quiet, PC specific, and rated for long term use. http://www.cooltechnica.com/Merchant...ategory_Code=P

Why would you get that pump when you could get a DD-D5 or a MCP-350 (and then flow mod it) for close to the same price?

I'm with you on getting a "real" pump, but don't you think that $75 is a big bump from $23? I'm not saying those pumps aren't worth it, because I think they are.

BTW, you, and all the other helpful people in these threads, have the patience of a saint.
