Thanks REP+ issued,
I did mentioned the HP of the compressor in question, you must of missed it.
Quote:
The one I'm going to use is an 1/4 horse power and it's qualifies per this tutorial
I'll inquire regarding the type of the compressor.

Hellgy, what do you mean?

I mean't that if your Single stage/Single Evap system is removing 230W of heat then you should go for a 1/3 HP or even a 1/2 HP rotary compressor for even lower temp's.

Will you be adding a Desuperheat coil?, this will increase the capacity of the unit allowing it to hold better temp's, it also ensure's that all of the liquid refrigerant boil's off before it return's to the compressor.

You should also be looking at using 3/8" to 1/2" tubing remember to purchase tubing designed for refrigeration use, it's already been vac'd and sealed and can handle the higher pressure's

Can you braze?

Probably not, I'm trying to keep this project as simple as possible, as i said, I don't even aim at subzero temperatures... below +10 C at full load with some nice OC will be nice.
I can't braze by myself, but my friend which is in the refrigerators business would do that for me after I'll have all of the parts separately...

this is a bit different but if you are going for those sort of temps maybe you should think of doing the TEC style of cooling first maybe. It would be cheaper to build and much easier. I do understand going for the phase change though, after all Ive been sucked in..........lol. What cpu will you be using in your rig?

I don't think that there is an alternative for phase change for the temperature range I'm willing to achieve,
Not with the environment temperatures we are getting here...
I dedicated some time for reading guides, and looking for materials i wouldn't like to start over...

I can understand the temps very well, after all I live in Australia and it is in the middle of summer in Adelaide and it can hit 40+C no worries, not an overclockers ideal climate. My TEC got me load temps of around 25c at 1.7+vcore @ 2800+ on a 3000+ so it was not too bad, they do take a lot of cooling but: and having the warmer climate hits that in the bum big time.

Remember that i aim on 10C at full load at max... the peltiers are not as efficient as Phase change and they require good water cooling, which requires purchasing dedicated accessories which is very expensive here...
A good Dangerden kit will easily hit 450 USD. Probably because there is no competition at that field... No one buys them anyways.

On the other hand i can get a compressor practically for free, buy a full tower case for 30 more USD, I'll probably have to hire an etcher to make an evaporator for me, That leaves me without a radiator, drier and some wires.

Remember it's not a radiator, it's a condenser.

So the part's you need are :-

Compressor
Condenser
Drier
Cap Tube
Evap
Copper Tubing

Good luck!

Thanks Petrol!.
Does any one knows a good program for planning an evaporator?.
My friend's father works in a factory, he has access to CNC equipment and he needs me to draw a model of the block.

Can i the name of some of the programs that does that and a general Idea for
a structure... sizes perhaps...
Any revisions?.
Thanks+REP!, I'm thinking about 82*60mm and 5cm height.
The shape of the tunnel inside the block would be circular spaces bridged on tight places(O=O=O=O=O=O) without any waving to prevent vortexes.
I'll lead the gas from one edge of the block to another towards the wider side of the block, then reverse the flow as close as i can go to the edge, and will continue drilling in the same track a couple millimeter downwards, until I'll reach the extraction point.

Well what i think you should do is buy a Chilly1 Evaporator and that's ready to install when you buy it.

Go to www.xtremesystems.org/forums/ and send chilly1 a PM and ask him about an Evap. there are also other people such as Johann, Gray Mole, FUGGER, PC-ICE & Kayl that would also be quite happy to make an evap for you

This is a plan of Chilly1's evaporator design, you cannot use it unless you get his permission.

This is a link to a bunch of free evap. designs that you can use.
