im currently trying to update the bios

but i cant even get any floppy disks to work... they are all saying you need to format.. and when i try and format it just fails to to it...

Are you creating a bootdisk? Just formatting the disk won't make it bootable.
If not you do this through My Computer.

through my computer.. the DOS bootable option. all the disks i have wont format or anything.. all saying I/O error or something, or windows cant complete format

p.s. ive tried each module of memory in each 4 mem slots on the motherboard.

all fail running at 200mhz

all possible combinations have to be at 166mhz to load windows without locking up

Okay, if you're having problems with the floppy, try Winflash:

ok cheers.

i got that..when it asked to reboot i did... but the bios version was still the same once i rebooted... have i missed something

hmmm ok... apparently i have the latest version of my bios anyways..

pure innovation only has one bios releaes.. and that is the original one .. they havent released a bios update yet.

hmmm... so im left with dodgy situation.. cant run mem at 200mhz.. :S
