They barely overclocked the x1800xl

They have it running @ 574/1060 and mine is running @ 600/1400 just a little bit of a difference there LOL
Honestly not that much different...that XFX GT is clocked lower than mine. I have a really high Clock for a GT...Clock Speeds dont matter all that much if the rest of your computer is lacking

I have the 516 so yes it does have the CO heatsink and clocked at 445 - edited

I think the 517 is the CO, the one that BigVal is getting and it's clocked at 460 instead of 470 and is cheaper, but that was in Canada so it might be different here in the states

EDIT: I'm wrong I actually got a CO that was accidentily label a CO SE

Having looked at all those, the x1800xt beats the 7800gt in all games except for FEAR, so when you have an x1800 xl running nearly xt speeds which card do you think is gonna win the battle...

I've noticed that x1800xt beats the 7800 GT in benchmarks, but in actual game play it seems to fall behind.

Optimized for benchmarks to appear better than it is?

Sme goes for GT's running at GTX speeds (which mine is), that throws out your argument right there

I know right, I mentioned this in the x1900XT thread saying that Ati probably optimized the card, and someone told me that was a stupid way of thinking, but it's obviously true especially with the x1800s. how can a card that scores higher in a 3d05 Benchmark (9000+) lose in gameplay, I'll take gameplay FPS than a benchmark score, the x1800's were junk if you ask me, the x1900XT is on par to a GTX but still 1 generation behind
