I know, that's why I said it, since everyone is making a big deal. (I actually thought it was 60+ FPS though)

Maybe with games like F.E.A.R. where the FPS actually drops to around 60ish you could debate, but aslong as it's above 70+ theres really no point in deciding which is better.

It's more like 45, I just picked 70 out of the blue.

Plus, all this arguing makes me jealous.

So speaking of FPS you all must know that your t.v. is only 30fps eh, anything above that is just icing on the cake.

Stock...it's not about how cool the temps are its really about what your chip can handle. The Optimal Settings Vary between 502-504...it's @ 504/1.17 now..i stated in another thread that I must have gotten a good chip then since I see not that many people having over 500 on their GT.

I know there's no visual difference after 80+ but having higher a FPS is good when ever you go into a really busy section of the game, basically looking at hte Minimum and average FPS because if you have a card lingering on the 60 FPS line and one that's around 75 then you have more room to give with the card that averages 75 without any hicupping. You dont see any real stress until 1600x1200. It's really not fighting but rather pointing out facts

But 30 FPS on a computer is torture after play stuff above 60 FPS and are eyes can percieve more than 60FPS, even over 100FPS

I never actually thought of it that way.

I know when I was playing WoW, I could be in a group doing an instance and stay around 30fps, but when I went to a capital I was like 0-10fps.

Film can blur motion, providing the illusion of movement in a single frame, which decreases the number of FPS needed for the human eye to perceive smooth motion.

video games are a series of static images, so it takes a higher amount per second to deceive the eye.

I think some software manufacturers are working on games that have some motion blur. Which would be sweet if implemented correctly. Even when you get low FPS it would still look pretty good.

yeah, I saw a thing about that. I think valve is working on blur motion for DOD. I saw some screenshots a while back. (I think that was the game)
