Help with build, a few questions.

So I am planning on putting a new system together and scavenging my current system to build my wife a new box, but for my build I am looking at the following parts, but there are way to many choices for memory and the biggest limiting factor is the Dk HSF as it doesnt allow clearance for most memory HS.

Question: What memory would work with this and is there anything that might be an issue in this setup?

I greatly appreciate any input as I can fix most anything brought to me but this is only my third build.(second as I don't count one bought as a whole kit)

*Case: Antec 300
Mobo:Asus M4A77TD
CPU: Phenom II X4 955 Black (GMBOX-C3 step)
GPU: MSI N250GTS
*HSF: Dark Knight w/Gelid 120mm
*HD1: Kingston V+ 64 GB SSD
*HD2: Samsung F3 500gb
PSU: XFX Black Edition P1-750B-CAG9 750W

(* parts I already own)

OCZ Gold is good stuff, I'd go with that; it's triple channel DDR3, and doesn't have high heatspreaders.

EDIT: Scratch that, your mobo is dual channel. In that case, 4GB of OCZ Platinum would do the trick.

Also, it's a nice build, but personally I'd go with a corsair power source, they tend to be better.

I was tossed up between the corsair 750 and the xfx. Also would 650 be enough as corsair has a 650 modular I was considering.

I think you would be safest with the 750W, it would leave room for overclocking and future upgrades.

Ive heard XFX is made by Seasonic and just repackaged but also is the price difference from the XFX to the Corsair worth it? They both seem to be able to hold their own but I have had a great deal of solid experience with Corsair.

As for memory I run dual monitors with a lot going at one time and was planning on 8gb (4 x 2GB) for multitasking purposes

I think if the price difference was more than that I'd go XFX, but I've heard only good things about Corsair, and I'd say they are definitely worth forking out a bit extra.

For 8GB, this is your best option: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145279

I think that maybe i would get the 8xx series Asus Gigabyte or AsRock Motherboard for SATA III, USB III and six and eight core compatibilities.

If that is the case then that would be an awesome PSU but I have two OCZ bronze editions and I like them fine. I love the fire red light coming out of it.

For that particular 8gb set there is combo deal with the m4a77td to save 15 or 20. ^_^

The board I am looking at is six core ready and for USB III the only things USB that I use are my mouse and keyboard.

As for SATA III would I see that much of a difference between II and III to make it worth the cost difference?

Not now but 3 months down the road the SSD are going to be wicked fast. over speeds that Sata II could handle. I just want you to be future proof. Like me I bought the first 790 boards with the 650 South bridge.. not very stable and I still have it to this day.
