ya its about the best you can get for agp except for the brand new 7800gs, but thats over 300..lol also u can look into the x850xt, but it doesnt have SM 3.0 so i would say the 6800gs is the best for his/your situation....

The card pbasil recommended is by far the best agp you can get for $200, but if there is any way your friend can spend $300 it would be well worth it. If he can somehow spend that much then the eVGA 7800GS would be the best card to get. It is the best AGP card on the market, your friend could run BF2 and COD2 on the maximum settings as long as he says 2 gigs of ram and an okay processor. If that 7800 is too much for you though, then get the 6800gs, you cant go wrong there for the price.

thats plenty of grunt for any new games, but 2 gigs of ram will help... but i think he should just focus on getting the 6800gs,then upgrading the ram in the near furure....

and might i mention that the 6800gs might be able to be unlocked to 16 pipes and 6 shaders....!!! making it a 6800 ultra/GT which cost over 250, but arent made anymore...
