with the DFI mobo I am able to run memtest stable at 240Mhz at 3-3-3-8 1T at 2.6v
I can't seem to push any higher cuz apparently my stepping of the Sandy doesn't support 2T command rate
also they perform 'as advertised' at SPD timings (2-3-2-5 1T) at DDR 400. - not too shabby -
So it seems the ASUS mobo was the problem.
oh well, that's not bad for 'Value' Sticks (as reported by the G.Skill Tech rep, and contrary to NewEggs description)
The G.Skill dude also said that at first they were getting better Infineon chips from the Mfg but the quality seems to have dropped off as of late.
I spose I will pick up some good TCCDs at some point, but for now things are looking pretty good.
Conclusion, the G.Skill ZX sticks aren't bad for the price.
