17dBa and 21dBa not silent

I bought these three items on newegg:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835106062
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811999127 x2

The case is not quiet.
Why is this? I was under the impression that <22 dBa was practically silent when shut in the case.....
Btw, the CPU is a 3000+ DTR @ 28*C idle

I have the same 120mm case fan and its quiet.
So I wonder if its the cooler fan you hear OR the case fan is bowed when you tightend the mounting screws.

either somethig is vibrating
or you warped the fans

sometimes airflow patterns make noise but thats not with computer fans

It's not that... the model of the fan is wrong as well.... it's the a1225, which, for some reason, is not on thermaltake.com
EDIT the fan isn't warped.

I have 14dBA Silenx Ixtrema fans and they still aren't silent, my point? The dBA ratings on any fan I have seen are completely BS because my 14dBA fans sound more like 25dBA to me and thats with just 1 hooked up outside of my case (IE no vibration noise).

Did you plug them into a molex without using a fan controller?

most of the noise u guys here is the air turbulance flowing over things from the fan and somewhat the fins on the fan its self... is there a grill infornt of the fan? and abstrucions infront of the fan? this will cause air turbulance...

Well my SilenX fans came with silicone fan mounts instead of screws and Im sucha noise nut that I took the grill off and I used the silicone things to mount my fan and on my NZXT case there is this grill over the side fan and I mounted that with TAPE! lol! might wanna try that, it helped a bit but the only way I will be satisfied is if I cannot hear ANYTHING out of my computer AT ALL!

I've gotta agree, unless you have unrestricted fan grills on your case, those pinholes that most case manufacturers call vents don't let any air out, and make alot of noise when air becomes turbulent trying to force its way out from there.
