DDR2-What to get

Thread Starter
I am wondering if it would be worth getting 1066 ram, up from my 800?
Any real difference?

Also which of these is the best?

OCZ Reaper PC2 8500 CL5
OCZ Gold edition PC2 8500 CL5
Corsair XMS2 PC2 8500 CL7.

Would it be worth upgrading from what I have?
I am thinking of just getting faster ram, as another 4gb of the ram I have is hard to find(1.8v) version and is really bloody expensive.

IF you really want to change your Ram, get some G-Skills (trident) PC2-9600

A lot of people ask for ram recommendations on this site and although there is some great ram out there it doesn't always work with various MB's. A friend of mine recently built a new system with a Gigabyte MB and his highly recommended G.Skill ram simply didn't work right with that board. He got some Super Talent ram and that stuff worked way better with no problems. Might be a good idea to post the MB info when looking for ram. That way if someone has the same board they can recommend something that actually works.

I do know that some ram may overclock better.
