They fray, collect dust, and aren't flexible. Why have these over normal cords?

I think they're fine, I've had my G9 for over a year and it's only very slightly frayed close to the mouse and I game with it everyday. If it ever got really bad I'd just re-sleeve it.

The G500 seems alright now. I have owned a G500 for atleast 3 months now and the braided cable has not frayed or collected dust.

putting heatshrink over a braided cable is silly, it's going to add more weight and drag. I think he means strip it.

I have a braided cord on my Naga mouse, and I love it! I may have only had it for a few months, but I also have little hooks in the underside of my desk to aid in the management of cab;es, so my cords slide within those.

I still have no idea how those mouse bungees work. I keep thinking they'd just fall over.

Actually, the hooks I put in on the underside of my desk do the same thing that mouse Bungee does, at probably a much cheaper cost.
