HELP! Need a New PC Badly - Page 2

what I would do is just replace the CPU with a sempron if your mobo supports 333MHz FSB, and then get a 6800GS. That would be about $300 bucks tops and would offer decent performance. You could also get some more RAM.

if you want to stay AGP, might I suggest the ASUS 6800XT. AGP isn't dead yet and it woun't be for at least 3 years. Now that there is the 7800GS and all...

Now that's a pretty good system. It should suffice until Vista is in full swing. Still think you should save $5 and get the windowless version of the centurion. That CPU duct makes a big difference.

A 3200+ would be a worthy consideration because of it's 10x vs the 9x of the 3000+. That will help you a lot in the long run when you OC that syste and it's only $9 more

The plus of the 3200+ and OCing is simply more flexability with lower end RAM and the fact you get a better game for $9 even if you don't OC it.
A moderate OC will do fine with the provided FHS and get you performance like a 3800+ or better which is very easy to do

Oh, yes the side fan is very good for cooling the system!

i would go Nvidia, the Timings on the ram is LOOSE LIKE A WHALES VAG, 16mb cache is better, but for that price its a worthy sacrafice, and Antec is a brand you can trust
