Ram voltage.

Thread Starter
I have a couple questions about my ram voltage.

Right now its defaulted to 2.65V but on myguard, it reads 2.59V, is that a normal variation?

My psu is pretty good, dual 12v rails at 19A.

My ram manufacture has it as:

2-3-3-6 and 1T at 2.75V

right now my timing are 2.5-8-4-8 and 2T at 2.65V

should I maually set them? And if it doesn't post with that timing, should I increase the voltage to 2.8V to make up for the .05 difference?

The variation should be normal...you can never really get an accurate voltage reading through software.

2.8v will provide higher stable speeds ... but there are other things to consider.
The RAM's memory controler multiplyer and voltage and the memory divider when the RAM can not maintain the same speed as the CPU.

That seems like funky timings of RAM. I would manually set it to 2.8V with the maunfacturers rated Timings and see if it'll Post.

You should be able to keep the timings the same for a little bit on a small OC
