Ok, so there the PC is. Ordering in about 3 hours and should all be at my house by thursday (Fed-ex shipping, and Thursday just to be safe ).

I read: http://www.overclock.net/faqs/70894-...light=assemble

Now, after reading that I realised I already knew most of that and needed just a couple tips in regards to my hardware that would help me make the process go smoothly. So, here it goes.

1. When attaching the BT to my processor, what thermal paste should I use? Does the fan come with it, or will I need to add it to my Newegg order before ordering?

2. After I get everything in and everything is set, should I have the RAM set inside in certain slots or in a certain order because as I understand the DFI LP is a little picky on RAM placement, speeds, and the RAM itself.

3. When I finally get the comp connected to my LCD and everythings ready to go, A: should I have the windows disk in the DVD drive already and B: What should I play with in the bios before installing windows. (Don't know which order I should do this in)

4. Ok, so, after hours of hair-raising assembly (heh) I get to the login screen and logon, which drivers in which order should I install. I was thinking start with BIOS, GPU, then do cooling. Any sudgested drivers for those also?

5. What has nine eyes and a pigeon? (Winner gets pie and beer, not IRL O/c)

Well, there is my spiel, thanks SO SO SO much in advance. I am so excited to build this thing when I get it!

ok i havent read the first part, but to answer your questions

1)use arctic silver 5 paste, its the best...and the BT comes with a fan
2)look in the MOBO manual to see which slots to put memory in first, prolly something like slot 1 and 3 or 2 and 4...it should say
3)you want to set bios to boot tocd rom first, but while in bios make sure it recognizes all your hardware...
4)install MOBO,video,sounddrivers... just the basic hardware drivers first and then update them , then i say go back and install all the little stuff after ,keyboard,mouse...ect

oh and u may want to get an extra 80mm or 120mm fan for the case aswell, u want good airflow in the case...check and see what size will fit in the case, unless it comes with fans already... sweet lookin rig!

good luck

Thanks thanks. I didn't mean to ask if the BT comes with a fan haha, was asking if it came with the paste . Don't have a soundcard so I can skip that weeeee. I'll add that paste to my order before I buy it!

Ooo, I think, as far as I see the case comes with an 120mm fan in the back and from the front, there is a duct with a 80mm fan that has a filter and blows right on the hard drive(s),

ok looks like your all set...

might i say this is one of the best lookin builds ive seen posted, it doesnt have any flaws that i can pic out, usually people have a sweet system then skimp on the PSU or ram or something, but this all looks good as far as i can see....

good luck with the build!

Hehe, Thanks much! I think you put input in when I was building it and it deffinently wasnt my thinking alone that built that Haha (Pictures a cardboard box with the hardware in it...DONE!) I have a Plantronics GamePro1 Headset and a hmm, can't remember my mouse but its the one with two buttons on the left and with adjustable DPI from Logitech. I am really looking forward to uncounted hours of some serious gameplay now lol. Don't know how I will pass my classes this semester Lol

I am hopeing this lasts me at least 4 years. I'll put another 7800 on it this summer along with 2 more gigs of ram. Then, when I get more comforable with the PC and with reading and writing stuff here, I am going to do some case mods and may even switch to liquid cooling(but I don't think its neccesarry.

Also you need the RAID drivers for the raptor and have them on a floppy...when you start loading windows it will say hit f6 to install 3rd party raid drivers...when you hit f6 it will ask for the floppy...you have to do that in order to boot from the SATA drive...hope this helps...TY
