Fix exsisting W/C setup

Thread Starter
Hi everybody,

I have the following stuff for my current WC setup:

Heatercore II
(2) 120mm Thermaltake Smart fans
(1) Swiftech MCW600

I have a nice case but I don't like it anymore. I mounted the heatercore on top of the case and it doesn't perform as well as I wanted it to. Since I am going to have to empty and refill soon, I was thinking about just rebuilding the system.

What case would you guys suggest and I want to make it easier to refill this time around. A resourvoir, correct? I also wanted to hit up the Tygon tubing and get better coolant.

Tips and links please

Hey K,

No replies from wiser people, so I'll do what I can.

First I suggest you look at airflow--tell us what fans you have where, and whether they are intake or exhaust.

Second, what performance are you getting now?

Third, here's my link of the day, it might give you ideas:

Fourth, I suggest measuring temps at various places--CPU, waterblock, and water in particular. That would help locate where heat is building up.

Hope this helps, and stay (get?) cool.

as for the case if money is not a problem look for a 7 bay casing...something that can fit a 12" x 13" mobo....will give u plenty of space...
