Question about Norton Antivirus Firewall 2006...

Hey guys, trying out Norton Firewall 2006 with Norton Antivirus and when I install it. I can not access any more the net but if I click on disable I can then browse the net. Any idea what could be causing this?

You must enable your browser (somewhere in the program control).
Use the search function in Norton

There are Default Rules for most general apps, but it sounds like you have not allowed or have disabled these for the particular Interface or IP Address.

Goto to Norton Internet Security - Status & Settings - Personal Firewall - Settings and check to see if the interface is enabled, check also Locations and if need be delete the settings so that Norton is foced to relearn, easier than adding a Rule that it already has by default.

The Norton Firewall isn't configured into allowing your browser program to access the net.

Thanks guys I will check under this settings and see whats going on.

heres a simple tip, dont use norton, use zonealarm or just use NOD32 for all your firewall/antivirus needs without it being a resource hog and does an awesome job.
