the Razer Boomslang CE, Diamondback 3G and Salmosa use the Avago 3688 optical sensor but they don't have any on-board memory so the firmware cannot be flashed which makes the Razer DeathAdder 3G unique. all the problems these mice have are corrected on the Razer DeathAdder 3G.

.
Isnt the 3.5G better then the 3G?

because the unknown sensor in the Razer DeathAdder 3.5G has tracking problems. the only problem with the Avago 3688 optical sensor in the Razer DeathAdder 3G is the high lift-off distance but this can be lowered by applying a piece of scotch tape to the sensor lens.

the Avago 3688 optical sensor is the fastest most accurate optical sensor on the market. it's a proven sensor on the pro gaming scene and has had years of corrections. if you have a IPS panel with a high resolution of 2560x1600 and wanted to move the mouse 4 inches (10 cm) in a first person shooter to turn 360 degrees, you would only need 2000 DPI. the 1800 DPI the Avago 3688 optical sensor can scale up to is more than enough.

it has a high lift-off distance on some surfaces and vertical tracking issues on some cloth and plastic surfaces like this.

just place a piece of scotch tape on the lens located on the bottom of the mouse. that simple.

the Avago 3688 optical sensor tracks efficiently on just about everything, even glass.

Do Both DA v1 and v2 have the same lift of distance?
I have never tested both so I can't be sure. they don't use the same sensor so I guess the answer is no.
