Drivers updating question

Thread Starter
the 81.98 drivers came out maybe early last month i downloaded it installed it properly. ok, now the question, when i visited the nvidia drivers page, it says released on Feb 7, but no way, i seriously remembered downloading it last month. Maybe it's like a new version or so? someone tell about this?and tell me if there's any difference.

and another thing is directx 9c. its outof topic but what the hell. X9c was released like ages ago, maybe last year, i dunno. Then i saw there's this February edition. So is it like a newer directx? better performance?

This version is Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) Certified while the one you downloaded previously was not. There is NO difference between the two when it comes to the driver. It's just that the newest one has a "certification" tag on it so that Windows won't ask you if you trust that driver during the install process.

Packman, what exactly are the differences to the 81.98 Driver released on xx January when compaired to the 81.98 Driver released on 7 Feburary? WHQL Certification is all that I see. Notice...the versions are exactly the same.

The difference is the Windows Quality Assurance tag. If there was any real differences in the drivers then Nvidia would be bound to change the build number if not the version number.
