3700+ overclock - Page 3

I tried using that optimizer calculator, but I can't seem to get anything decent to hold stable. I tried 280x10 with DDR200 and HTx3 and even that wouldn't hold stable with my Vcore around 1.58. Does my chip just refuse to clock that high or is there still a setting that needs some tweaking?
Your HTT@1250 will be to high, stabilty problems will occur. Run prime 95 to test overall system stability

Totally agree. Try not to have your HTT higher than 1000

1040 is max on HTT, after that instability. there are some FAC's here at the site to help, there is one that will help you find your max limits for your cpu, motherboard, and ram. which will help you get the best overclock.

Well, I got 2.7GHz to run stabile for awhile, but higher than this is proving difficult.

btw nice find on the cgi calculator tuchan, rep+
That's not true. A memory divider does slow down the memory speed from a 1:1 ratio with the fsb, but it's not a simple calculation. The ram speed will change as the fsb speed changes and also if the cpu multiplier is changed. In the Gogar's link above, you can clearly see that cpu multiplier affects ram speed as well...even if the divider and fsb aren't changed. Also, there are boxes in red that indicate ram speeds that don't follow the predicted pattern.

What are your settings? Seeing how similar our systems are, I bet I can help a bit.

I have it running stable at 10x270, DDR333, and HT on x3.
I've also tried (all at DDR333 and HTx3):
10x280
10.5x276
11x263
10.5x271
None of these will stay stable.

Where is your vcore?
Did you try a mid 1.5ish ... some find slighty lower than expected vcores work well... there is a sweet spot regardles of what some believe.
