Patriot Memory

Thread Starter
This is my first post so I wanted to say Hi to everyone.
I'm building a new rig with an A8N32xsli. I found a 2GB Patriot DDR 433 (PC3500) kit with 2-3-2-5 timing for sale. It is not listed in the QVL for this mother board so I was wondering if it will work. I dont even know if Patriot is good memory. This is going to be a gaming rig so I want close timings. Thanks for any help.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220082

Yep, this should work fine, and Patriot make decent low cost ram. Also, consider the G Skill ZX 2GB kit as well.

I second that. The Patriot is good, but for the price, try the G. Skill:

It'll overclock better than anything else out there, has the same timings as the Patriot you're looking at, and from what I've found costs ~$50 less. It's what I'm using, and I traded up some OCZ Platinum for it. No complaints. I've recommended this RAM up and down this forum. For under $200, it's the deal of the year. And yeah, it'll work fine with that motherboard, great choice there.

Thanks for the help guys. I will check them out. Do you know how high you can OC them and still keep the 2-3-2-5 timings?

Not much further than stock speeds. I've got mine running at about 205Mhz.
