To anyone that knows how to reset a password I HAVE A MCP TRANSPORT X1000 : I PULLED THE CMOS BATTERY AND TRYED TO SHORT THE CMOS BATT. PINS EVERY TIME I POWER UP IT ASKS FOR PASSWORD LEFT BATT. OFF FOR 24HR NO LUCK.

Either buy it or figure out another method of obtaining it. I use it all the time on client's PC's that forget or misplace their passwords. It works.

EDIT: This is for Windows account passwords, if that's what you need.

is it the bios password or windows password?
