hey, my bro's rig has a 2.66 celly D w/ some corsair xms ram that should go to about 240mhz... and yet I was stuck at the 3-3.2Ghz range w/ his cpu... and I'm almost 100% sure it was the board. Asus P5RD1-V

All chips are not equal but you are no where near max overclock. I have had two CDs, a 2.4 320 which would run stable all day @3.14 and now a 2.93 340 that I cant get past 3.49 prime stable but it will run at 3.68 all day without crashing, on the same board, I am sure with a better board and ram they could go further.

You know I think I might pull the 2.4C from my P4P800-E Deluxe board and put the celey D in it just to see how far it will actualy go. But I know just about any of the Celey D family can pull at least a 600mhz overclock with the right equipment, they are great little overclockers as you can see by cokker's 2.66.

^^Yeah, I got my regular 2.5GHz Celly up to 2.9 changing nothing but my FSB... I'd upgrade PSU and RAM if you want to push it further.

The ratio is locked in the BIOS i cant find any ram timming settings. I am sure it is the mobo and ram they are both pretty uncostly, later i will try to bump it up a notch. Thanks everyone!
