I'm using this corsair ram TW3X4G1333C9AG which I remember reading was tested and was compatible with this board. I can't find the link any more but it was most likely here in this thread?

Has anyone come up with a good alternative to cooling the mosfet/NB? I can't overclock as far as I want to because the mosfet temperatures apparently idle ~70C and go 90C+ on load. My video card doesn't even get that hot, and my CPU idles 24C and only goes up to 48C max load.

This mobo definitely has a problem with 6-core processors, because I disabled 2 cores on my Phenom II X6 1055T, and the temperatures went down and I could push the overclock a little bit further.

I put a 40mm fan on the NB heatsink and that helped a bit, but since the mosfets are connected to the heatsink with a piece of tape, it didn't help an incredible amount.

http://www.intel.com/assets/pdf/refmanual/drmos.pdf

This seems to describe in 2004 what MSI is using now. Am I correct? If so, then page 7 describes the maximum voltage as being 1.5. This would explain why 1.475 seems to be the highest stable voltage without overheating. Has anyone tried physically upgrading the board(i.e. cooling the mosfets, changing out the mosfets, etc.)?

I have recently started to overclock my 890fx and all the cpu voltage and cpu VDD are locked to auto. I'm not sure how to change these values, but it seems some of you on the forum are not having this problem. I can change some of the other values, but not these. any ideas?

Isn't on all bios the + & - used on your keyboard to change those values?
I'm just assuming since i dont have this version of board

Also mention what Bios version do you have, so that others may help
