I can't seem to get my RAM anywhere close to stock speeds when overclocking the CPU/FSB.
I just bought some Mushkin Blackline @ 1600
from Kamikaze to replace my G.Skill @ 1333. So, I reset everything to Auto in BIOS, set my DRAM timings to 7-7-6-18, CPU to 3GHz (200 x 15), FSB 200, and FSB:RAM ratio to 1:4. Boot it up and everything is stable.
If I turn my OC back up, the board will either auto-drop the FSB:RAM ratio to 1:2, or it'll just fail and give me a warning and the option to load a different preset / go to SETUP. This will happen even through the board's OC genie, which changes the following settings:
CPU to 3.4
(227 x 15)
FSB to 227
CPU voltage - 1.327
CPU NB voltage - 1.160
NB voltage - 1.298
NB PCIE - 2.162
FSB:RAM ratio - 1.2
the system will run stable under this, although obviously the memory speeds are weak sauce.
a different run, at 226
If I try to turn the FSB Ratio up at all to get back around 1600, I get failures. Any suggestions?
