I hope we get to see the potential on this board here...the reviews seem to be pretty bad.

So much problem, i had my cpu got to 4.2ghz at 1.475V but couldnt get past that even at 1.55V which is the max you can put in the bios. I am returning this and will go with asrock 890FX or keep my MSI DKA790GX which allows me same speed with little more voltage.

Hello everyone. I have all of my hardware assembled now and this thing keeps blue-screening with an error message about shutting down windows to prevent damage etc etc etc...............
Safe mode ends up with the same screen. Clearing CMOS ends up with the same thing after entering BIOS and using default boot settings. I have tried everything to get this thing to read my Windows 7 OS setup/install disc, but it will not even recognize my optical drive. Any suggestions besides RMA or a short-fused hand grenade?

I have a strong feeling that this one is going to fade in front of the competition...all reviews point at giga and asus having the better OC capabilities.

I dunno i've got my 1090t running at 4.2Ghz stable without an issue. I've bought msi mobo's for my last 3 builds and they have all been great, this one makes the 4th.
I just built a system with this board. It works good at stock clock speeds with a 1090T. The problem I'm having is that whenever I set the SATA type to RAID, there's about a 60 second delay between the system bios boot screen and the raid bios boot screen.

YouTube- MSI 890FXA-GD70 Raid startup delay

I have an OCZ Vertex 2 as my boot drive and two 500 gb seagate drives in a raid 1 for data storage. MSI sent me bios 1.45 which I don't think is released yet and this didn't help. I shut off the raid and used AHCI, then I used software raid in windows 7. MSI had me try all kinds of crap and now they want me to RMA the board.

I really liked this board at first, but then this happened. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but if I want to run a second graphics card at 16x, will it block the only PCI slot on the board? That's where I have my X-Fi sound card....

This is the first time I strayed away from Asus. If I have to send this board anywhere, I'm sending it in for a refund and getting the Crosshair

If anyone wants to check out 1.45 bios, let me know.

Important NOTE

I have this board as well and I dont know if they got all the bugs out yet but, anyone with a Dual GPU video card, cant seem to make it to their desktops. They have to disable the onboard USB or some such is what I've seen as a workaround which is very strange. I'm not the only one having this Issue and its frustrating, I have another thread here asking for help and I put one up on toms hardware and someone posted that work around but BE WARY if you have a dual GPU card.
