Hi MSI Thread.

I've been wonderin' alot on my motherboard MSI 880GMA-e45 update bios, my Phenom II 955 BE default core is 1.43V on motherboard bios menu. I see alot that 1.36V is the default core of Phenom II's. If I undervolt my CPU V-Core it the minimum is 1.386V. Is my motherboard have such defects?

Thanks. Here is the screenies.

How does this system hold up on the stress tests? My core components are close to yours...so I figure I might use your settings as something to base mine on.

Apparently mine is, since when I first attempted putting the heatsink on without the thermal tape/pad thing (using ceramique), the VRMs closer to the NB didn't touch the base (I could tell, since I was using the dot method, and it didn't spread out), while the ones at the other end did. I had to go back to the pad.
I would much rather use the ceramique only option though .

hi everybody, i'm joining this thread since i'm experiencing some issues with this mobo (890fxa-gd70 )... it's been a dozen days now, my system crashes randomly, sometimes doesn't even show a BSOD, and WhoCrashed's analysis almost always gives an ATI driver issue... what's new in the last few weeks? i added a second 5770 to my vapor-x, so i have a 5770 vapor-x and a 5770 flex in crossfire... thought there wouldn't be troubles, the cards are from the same vendor, they differ by 10 mhz of gpu clock, same mem clock, so i just set the same clocks on both cards... i see someone here has 4 5770s in quadfire on the same board i have, is there some trick or i'm just out of luck?

my rig:
phenom x6 1055t@4,05 ghz (300x13,5) aircooled by thermalright ifx-14
4x2gb g-skill perfect storm ddr3@1600 6-7-6
win 7 ultimate x64
os on corsair force f60 SSD
data on 2xsamsung 1tb sata2
gfx 1 sapphire 5770 vapor-x (860-1200)
gfx 2 sapphire 5770 flex (850-1200@860-1200)
psu silverstone 850w

i shouldn't have any problems....

i updated the bios to 1.7 release yesterday, nothing changed checked the pci-ex slots on the motherboard, and my cards are on #1 and #5, so i'm using both x16 electrical slots, i have both crossfire connectors closed with cables... funny thing is, fore about a week all went fine, no crashes at all, and now i can't have my pc up for a whole day without crashes ... does someone of you have any clue?

What AMD Drivers are you running?

10.12 or earlier?

The earlier Amd Drivers had some issues with Crossfire and 5770s and I think there is a hotpatch out for the 10.12 drivers?

i have tried 10.11, 10.12, and also the pack MSI LiveUpdate downloads ( but i think it's 10.11 too ) when you let it search for updates... i also tried removing ati drivers and letting windows use... whatever it uses... same $&#t... i'm downloading 10.12a hotfix, they're not meant to fix my issue, but it's worth the shot, thanks

Try a beta bios. I think the newest is 1.86 or something like that. I don't know what is in the changelogs for the betas so they might not apply to you. If the ati hotfix doesn't work you could always try a clean install of windows.
