Even at 2400Mhz HTT My ram is stable & fast enough for me.
What's the actual problem though, you aren't saying what is actually wrong?
Never mind what the box says, what does the ram say it can do in the bios spd?
i OC fine, I set it to 1600 manually and change my timing to my ram stock timing, but win 7 kept freezing, so i reverted back to 1.7, added the same settings and everything runs fine now.

edit : spd reads the same as the box max= 1600mhz 9-9-9-24-41
which is what i OC to.

In an attempt to further my computer knowledge I started to double check everything in my system to ensure its configured properly and the hardware is working as intended. I opened CPU- Z and I was just browsing the settings wanted to check my memory to make sure there werent any problems in timings and to make sure I had dual channel set up properly. I have a GD65 and I have one stick of ram in blue/black adjacent to each other. I assumed thats how dual channel worked just would like some verification.

At the very top it says single next to channel?

You have to put the memory sticks to same colored DIMMs. AMD has it this way, intel requires to install the memory you did now. You put both sticks to blue slots.

+1 what he said.

Though on my Gigabyte 890GX slots are different, Dual channel slots are colour coded. (GB, slots 1&3 for dual channel, but they colour coded that way)
In your defence, MSI has been known to confuse this issue, My old K9N sli platinum & K8N sli they did what you just did, colour coding was wrong there.....
But CPU-z is correct, your'e in single channel mode with that setup on that mobo.

Whoah, plenty! You should actually SEE a difference between dual & single channel, it's that big. Basically double your memory bandwidth & as windows runs in memory (in fact everything does) it's that much (2X) faster. see my post on pg46 for what you can expect if you set up ram properly.
$75 for 2x2Gb DDR1600 ram modules......in my country, that's dirt cheap. Crucial/Mushkin/Corsair etc easily $100+
Let us know if you can see/feel the difference

Okay well CPU-Z just verified that Im in dual channel right now... But shortly after I fixed the problem my computer crashed. Why would that happen that was the only recent hardware change that was made. Funny it worked incorrectly but its crashing my PC after I fixed the problem?

EDIT

Should I be running memory test? And also Im running prime95 right now for about a hour to see if any problems arise.
