This bios will finally stop the BSOD on the MSI 890FXA-GD70 with the FX CPU. Finally I can play Portal 2 and DNF again!

Can I use 2 Gentle Typhoon 0.56 amp fans on my CPU fan header (total 1.12 amps). Startup current is unknown. I will be setting them at 87% min until water loop heats up then they will spin up to 100%. Used on dual fan radiator.

Has anyone actually used to OC DIAL on this board? lol. I've wondered about it. And can it be used while the PC is on or does it have to be shutdoown., DIALED, and then powered on?

it must be shut, and when you hit OC dial, some kind of light comes on. When you turn on it takes a bit. Then finds the best stable oc, and you are good to go. Usually it sets up like little more voltage than you can manually OC, but it is convenient.

Hey guys, has anyone had any luck getting full sata 3 speed out of this board? Just threw in a Vertex 4 and am getting about a quarter of the speeds I should. I have been doing a bunch of research and the one thing I haven't done yet (AFIK) is disabling DMI data. This seems to be fairly easy on the gigabyte boards but I cannot figure out how to do it on ours. If any of you have any ideas that would be fantastic.

Hello guys I was wondering if I could have a little help. I have a 990FXA-GD65. It's very similar to the 890FXA-GD65 so I thought this would be a good place to ask about my issue as though there are no clubs for the 990FX MSI owners. My motherboard makes a strange high pitched whistle when ever my harddrive is very active. The whistle is also perfectly synchronised with my harddrive activity light. So as the light flashes to indicate activity so does this whistling sound. This is my second board of this type as the first one died. Should I be worried about this noise or is it just going to be an inconvenience more then anything else?
