Should I get this board or the crosshair iv? Gonna pair it with a 1090t.

What's wrong with your current board?

I would pick the Crosshair IV over the MSI if I could afford it.

There is no point in RMAing the board. Its a hardware conflict with pretty much any Dual GPU. We've been in contact with MSI they gave me and a few other guys from tomshardware a beta bios of 1.45 and still no go. They are attempting to fix it but still no luck. Its a conflict with the board, simply returning it wont fix it.

I'm about 1 day away from taking this one back and going with the crosshair myself it is a really nice board but if your going to run a x2 gpu then you might want to save yourself some trouble and go crosshair

YouTube- MSI 890FXA-GD70 Raid startup delay

I have an OCZ Vertex 2 as my boot drive and two 500 gb seagate drives in a raid 1 for data storage. MSI sent me bios 1.45 which I don't think is released yet and this didn't help. I shut off the raid and used AHCI, then I used software raid in windows 7. MSI had me try all kinds of crap and now they want me to RMA the board.

I really liked this board at first, but then this happened. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but if I want to run a second graphics card at 16x, will it block the only PCI slot on the board? That's where I have my X-Fi sound card....

This is the first time I strayed away from Asus. If I have to send this board anywhere, I'm sending it in for a refund and getting the Crosshair

If anyone wants to check out 1.45 bios, let me know.
Well..... it seems if I set the sata mode to raid for the 6gbps sata ports and disable the second lan controller at the same time, I get this delay. Can anyone with this board verify this for me? Put the sata mode in raid, then disable the second lan controller in the bios. For me it doesn't seem like any other settings matter, if the sata mode for the 6 native sata ports is set to raid, and the second lan controller is disabled, I get this delay.

I disable unused things to prevent problems, this is the first time I've ever seen it cause problems......
