My mobo chipset (nforce4 sli) has ActiveArmor and the nvidia Firewall thing but I cant figure out how to configure them. I checked the BIOS and the cd that came with my mobo (DFI NF4 SLI-DR).

Don't use ActiveArmor, it gives too many problems, use either windows firewall or if you're very concerned about your files, get ZoneAlarm (http://www.download.com/3000-2092-10039884.html).

i have heard bad things about activearmor but i dont care it came with my mobo and i wanna at least try it out ... anyone know how to configure it

I use activearmor with no probs.just go to nvidia.com and download the latest
nforce driver package, when you install select only the network drivers(unless you want to update other drivers)and you will be given an option to install nvidia firewall.after install you will find an icon in sys tray for the firewall, double click it then click on veiw current profile to configure firewall.

if you have problems with bad checksum errors change the setting for active armor to not offloadable, but i think most problems have been ironed out with latest drivers.

the firewall adds quite a few proccesses that run in background but i have had no problems since installing latest drivers (6.70 i believe)
