Mushkin Ridgeback (996826) with PhII X4 - Page 3

I have this ram and I could not get it to run spec. Mushkinsean told me to try 1333 7-8-7-24 and raise the bus to 240. They work great with these settings, tighter timings and my system reboots.

thats a good setting for running @1600Mhz. They are not considered 'supported' for AMD platforms because they will not run the 6-8-6-24 listed timings. It has to do with the integrated memory controllers on AMD chips. I tried both 7-8-7-24 at 1600 (overclocked from the 1333 setting) and 6-7-5-15 at 1400, and had better results with the tighter timings at 1400 (bus at 210). You might try giving it a shot.

Naturecannon- congrats on the new ram, how do you like it compared to the patriot?

Trying the 1333 speed now OC'd to 1400, trying to get a little more out of them. I get errors in MemTest86+ unless I increase the voltage to 1.70. I'm assuming this kit can handle 1.7 volts above the 1.65 spec voltage?

Timing still at 6-7-5-15-1T

I'm not sure, I haven't messed with voltages, and I'm not sure of others results with them. I would imagine thats okay.... I'd be interested to see your results.

Yogi - the redline kit (i'm sorry i don't know the # right off) that has the same 6-8-6-24 advertised timings as the ridgebacks, as mentioned previously, are exactly the same sticks with different (and shorter) heatspreaders.

EDIT: these - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820226120
Thanks for the suggestion, but I bought the Ridgebacks!
Another member said they should fit with a 38mm fan, so we'll just have to see. If not I can run a push/pull with 25mm fans.

Ill be using a 1055T and 890GX-UD3H. Ill post some results when I get them.
Its my first AMD setup, anything tips for OCing these sticks?

This is about as good as I can get these modules with my OC.

6-7-5-15-1T with 1066 multi running at 1333, 1.66V. 2000 HT, CPU-NB 1.275V, NB 2750, CPU 4GHz 250 x 16 1.525V.

I couldn't get my old A-DATA modules this fast!

Hows the heat spreaders fitting for you guys on your ridgebacks? Mine came very loose in package. I tightened up screws and one stick got snug, other is still kinda loose, scared its going to crash on my video card and then hit my fan on bottom of case. They are heavy too so it will do some damage.

Not happy with the quality of the spreaders regarding the above issue. Am sure I can rig something up but thats not the point nor will I rig it. Weird thing is one screw had some black paint wore off at the screw upon arrival, like some had messed with it.

Edit: My bad, I had to reef them down pretty hard, (Felt like I was going to strip head out last night) all is good now.

Mine are tightened on good. I would reach out to them and see about getting them replaced.
