lol which one do you have?
I'm buying hopefully tomorrow or the day after, and I'm so torn between the two. I just want something for web browsing, movie watching and something that does most of what a basic netbook would do.

Yeahh but your usage wasn't as much as mine.

My use for a smart phone is minimal compared to some (imo)...only using it for e-mail, internet browsing, SMS & MMS, phone (so no games, not big on social networking), but I am looking for GPS feature as well.
I will use it A LOT for internet browsing and such, almost going to use it as a netbook replacement. I'm going to watch a lot of videos so yeah, I think the HD2 is probably what I want but lemme ask a few questions

1. How does the screen look for video playback? I presume awesome because of the AMOLED but would you be comfortable with watching a two-hour movie on this?

2. Typing on the QWERTY; as good as the HD2 as I've heard?

3. Does the Nexus One have the functionality and apps WM has? A torrent client? A PlayStation emulator that can be used with a PS3 Bluetooth controller? USB Host functionality? Use for bluetooth keyboards?

hah yeah, that was when I had my BlackBerry and never had a phone with 3G service or a full touch screen phone. I would say I've increased my usage from what I said by 2-3x worth. I put in a lot of hours watching videos off of various sites and youtube. I use my e-mail more often, read a lot more feeds, and try to post on OCN with it as well. I used to be in the market for a netbook or a tablet, but my Nexus One has served all my needs

To answer your first question, video playback is very nice, but I haven't sat and watched a two hour movie yet, since I haven't put one on my SD card yet. From the HQ videos on youtube, it looks fantastic. It makes my Zune HD screen look very bad lol, and I was impressed with the screen technology on the Zune HD over an iTouch.

To your second question about the typing, I don't use the QWERTY keyboard anymore, I use Swype and I find it easier, faster, a lot better predictive words or whatever. You can customize the font, the keyboard layout, color as well (assuming you root the phone and download the themes for it).

I've seen a few torrent applications for the Android OS, but I haven't had the chance to explore those yet, since I've had the phone for a little over a month. I'm not sure about the PS3 blutooth, but I've heard there is an application or something regarding the Wii, so I guess the PS3 shouldn't be too far off coming out if there isn't anything out yet. And since you've asked it, it's sparked my interest and seeing if I can do that, since I own a PS3.

Not sure about the blutooth keyboards, since I've never desired to look into that, but I've seen them for BlackBerries...I know, not much help there lol...so perhaps something for HTC and Android OS based phones.

If there is any other questions, let me know!

EDIT: Don't know what time zone you're at, but I'm off to bed!
