Genius dial-up speaker idea.

Thread Starter
Did this a while ago. For some odd reason, my modem still makes alot of noise whenever i connect, even when i disable/turn down the sound in the modem settings. Well, i maually fixed the problem by empolying Blu-tak (weird blue sticky stuff, dont kwo if they hav in USA, cause...well....i dont live there ), and shoving it in the little hole of the speaker. Now, i can only barely hear it. In hte case that my modem fries, i will be frced to spend $25 aus to get a new one.

You could probably use plasticine or something instead of bluetak......

Hope this helps anyone who is utterly annoyed with their modem. Oh, and i dont know, but this is this the wrong section for this? or am i safe??

Yeah... This isn't software related. You should have put this in Misc. Hardware Mods or whatever it's called. Good idea though.
