Simple, they are going to rake in the money off of this sale.
Everyone understands the concept. The point is that Indie game devs and charities rely on our generosity to continue their good work. Paying the absolute bare minimum for the bundle is nothing other then exploitative. Maybe one day you will be a position where you will need someone to show a little faith in you and your work. Lets hope they do more then the bare minimum.

That's what I figured, but it seems legit and all the games work. Except world of goo doesn't work with my second monitor connected.

Other than that it seems pretty legit. I guess ill donate the 10 bucks left in my paypal to some charity for it.

Now here is the conundrum. Say someone only has $0.55, should he not buy this and just let his money sit in his paypal?? If you know anything about charities(I do, i have volunteered for over 3 years and my wife has worked for one of the largest charities in the world for over 5 years), u know they would rather have ANYTHING, rather then nothing. I admit $0.01 is kinda a rip-off(not saying he did rip anyone off, he was seeing if it worked). but with what everyone charges for games, computer parts now a days, its a wonder anyone has $1 to give to charities...

Really? The "rather donate 50 cents than zero cents" argument?

World of Goo already did this with their Birthday sale. You can read the results here.

The fact is, they lose money on the transactions that small due to having to pay the CC processing fees. They chose to process every request any way to track the information as far as volume and price.

I refused to take advantage of this deal. I have 8 cents left in my account till Friday. I don't feel right giving anything less than a dollar.

Your refusing to realize that they did open this up so people can donate 50 cent if they please. It's not worth getting annoyed because someone choose to donate very little. If there were no CC fees then 50 could make a difference. If I could get them for free I'd do it and donate later on in the week.

Edit: It's only going to attract more attention if someone brags about getting 5 games for 1cent. Most of who will donate at least 1 dollar. I don't know how some people can see that image and still hit send. But that choice lies with them and they have every right to do so.

I paid what I could realistically afford and being an 18 year old in college with no job that is, suffice to say, not a lot.

I s'pose it's easier to think of it like this: I'm giving to charity and in return they're giving me 5 games...

No?

...

No...
