FAH software issue

Thread Starter
Every time I complete a WU the software causes an error and will not continue. I still get credit for the WU but I have to close out and start the software all over again. Anyone else have or heard of this problem and know of a fix?
Thanks

Please post a screen shot or a clip of the relevant portion of your log file (starting with the completion of one WU through the crash), and we'll see if we can't figure out what's going on.

I've had the same issue here, along with my wifes computer.
Saturday unfortionetly i had to purchase another HD for my system and reloaded with a fresh install including F@H.
This time ((thinking)) that with out loading the Mcafee firewall will resolve the isuue?

Will post that screen shot if it fails again.

I had that happen a couple of times when I was using the graphical program. It was only when I first started though, after about 5 WUs it stopped, did it once more later, than never again, but I have since switched to the console version.

I remember hearing about another member who said it happened every single time to him, again, only on the graphical program.

Given my own issues with the graphical program and the bugs I found in it, I would recomend you just use the console version, at least see if the errors persist there as well.

On my system, the graphical program was running both cores of my CPU at full bore, but was only using one of them to fold. So i was wasting power and stress on my CPU for no gain.

I know the console one is less.....well, pretty LOL, but it seems more stable as it has less frills.

Well i dont no if this helps.

Well i didn't get a screeny of the F@H error that popped up, but got some on the log. Will post the windows error next time.
Looks to me as if the programs continued to run in back ground, but not having the graphical portion of the program to work.

Let me no what you think?

How high is your overclock, the graphical version has issues with high overclock. I use the console version, less problems=more folding.

So i figured i would keep you guys informed of the errors.

Well no errors yet. Go figure, i post about an error and doesn't happen again ((shocked))
Have completed 3 WU including my wifes computer and have not gotten any error since the last post here in this thread.

Sorry for the thread hijack , but i felt this needed to be addressed with a solution.
