Memory Cooling

Thread Starter
I know this question is kind of stupid, but I want to add a heatspreader to my 1GB DDR2 chip, but all of the heatspreaders say DDR.
Can I install a DDR heatspreader on my DDR2 chip?
Btw, this is my first post on overclockers.net

Yes you can... DDR and DDR2 modules have the same length. The difference is in the number of pins (240 pins for DDR2 and 184 pins for DDR).

You would be better off using active cooling, mount a fan over them, it will give you better results.
