Yes, but PCI Express is better than AGP.
Well if you have $300 then definitly get the 7800GS that is a top of the line gpu....best agp card out....then theres 6800GS which is a bit under $200....which is also a good card....depending on your budget is....but the 6800GS would run all games on med/high settings while the 7800GS will run EVERY game HIGh settings

How about a Leadtek PX7800GT 256MB Vivo PCIEX (http://www.iccomputers.ca/icdesktops...rd.asp?id=47.5)
Or should I shop around for the 7800GS as you say?

Well from what i see you have an AGP motherboard, and the 7800GT is a PCI-e which you motherboard doesn't support so the best AGP card is the 7800GS...and the best brand to get is either eVGA,XFX....only companies i trust

But you say your only going to spend around 220 american....so i suggest the 6800GS with the same brand suggested from above...

7800 GS will run ya 300 clams. For AGP in that price range, the 6800 GS will be the best bet, or perhaps an ATI X800 XL.

I don't mind spending around 370 american, as long as I get a decent card that won't overheat - and does everything I need it to do (ie gaming).
