PowerColor Expansion SLOT cooling

Thread Starter
Hi there, and yes i was an idiot who bought a HP pavilion. The cooling is real bad, all it has is a 80mm fan in the back of the case as an exhaust, but my power supply has a 120mm exhaust fan on the inside exhausting air aswell. I just want to make sure that the air inside there doesnt get too hot, well because with my side panel off it is much cooler than with it on. So i was thinking and im like ahah i can use this pci slot cooler, i was just wondering if anyone has any experience with these and how well do they cool? Im wondering if i should some how have a way of intake air aswell...but exhausting should be fine, then im assuming the negative pressure will draw more air through the ventilation holes on the side panels. Thanks alot, here is the link to the item in question, http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...7433&CatId=494

that one seems ok, there are others that move much more air, but it is my understanding that most of them exhaust as well, mostly the heat produced from your videocard since it will be sitting right next to it...
i think you will be best off cuting a hole in the side of the case and installing a med-high flow 120mm fan, that will yield best results. And maybe install a fan in the front bottom of the case as an intake as well.

dont keep bumping mate u migth break something.

anyways, first question is this. do u want to void ur warranty? if you do then remember its an expensive exercise. but adding a side cooler would do you plenty good. as for the pci cooling i have never used it but in anycase physics say its not going to give u too much cooling.

btw, read the following and u will get some pointers on what to do.
