You do know you are asking questions on a overclocking forum, don't you? J/K

2GB is definitely better, but if you do not run games or applications that utilize it, then it is of little value to you. Do you plan on doing any high end gaming such as BF2, FEAR, etc? Or, video editing, graphic design, etc? If you answered yes, the go for the 2GB, and if you answered no go for 1GB.

I am not one to suggest value ram, but if you are indeed not going to overclock some memory of a non-performance line may work just as good. This G.Skill is a liitle less and has great reviews, and this set of G.Skill will put you closer to your price range. The set you picked is good, but without overclocking the others sets will most likely be just as effective. The timings on the first link will definitely be worth the extra $$ in my opinion.
