I doubt any huge difference. They both just clean out temp files and modify startup entries. I dont trust the registry scanner on CCleaner because it has boffed a few times, not sure if this one would be any better in that regard.

Ionno about you guys.

If I add a few new bookmarks to my firefox, close, run fcleaner, fcleaner restores my bookmarks how they were prior "removing, the few newly added book marks".

Also, I went in and cleaned up a lot of bookmarks, added a few folders in bookmarks menu, moved some bookmarks in the newly added folder. closed firefox ran fcleaner, Fcleaner restored how bookmarks were, odd.

Could someone retry this, add a few bookmarks or rearrange some bookmarks in firefox, run fcleaner and see if the same happens to you as to me.

Hey man you can install CCleaner to a flash drive and run it in memory right off the flash drive. You can do the same with Defraggler. Install it to the flash drive in a folder, start it up, and remove the flash drive if you want. CCleaner and Defraggler (from piriform) will both run once started even if you have moved on to a new PC with the flash drive.

Running it this way doesn't add registry entries or make you install or uninstall anything!

Meh. It seems a lot like CCleaner. I'll test it on my XP once I boot it up to see the difference for myself.

@Jeevus: That's... strange. Did you see if there was an option in fCleaner to clean the bookmarks? If so, you should uncheck it.

Sorry, can't duplicate this. I added, changed a few, deleted some old ones, moved a few around... Did you modify you FF settings to lock your configuration
