IE shuts down

hi i over clock my pc and was working fine and the i pull it apart to clean it
added more ram and fans and now ie shuts down and games seem to stop all of a sudden
im using the 4 ram slots can this be the cause
aslo on prime 95 i get error in less than a minute where as b4 i cleaned the case and added ram it ran for 12 hrs + with no errors

Yup sounds like your memory controller is overloaded. You may also want to upgrade your bios to the newest version.

Yes, that could be that you have 4 sticks of ram. Your memory controller might not be able to keep such a high overclock. Try clocking it down some and test for stability. Also if you gave us your bios settings that you're at right now it would give us a better idea so we could help you.

ive used the ai overclock on the asus mother board just at 30% ive just gone back to normal to see how it works
i have 2x1g sticks and 2x 256 sticks in it
im a bit worried about updating the bios as im scared that it will stuff things up i have a p4p800 e delux mobo and 2.8 p4 n'wood and the ram corsair
xms pc3200 200mhz 3 3 3 8
i dont know about the dividers but the ram speed goes down to 170mhz
when i over clock it i hope the new ram not faulty as it cost me a fortune
what setting should i overclock to what shoult i set my bios to?
i hope u can help and ill write it down then change it
i will rip the 2x256 out tommorrow a can be stuffed unplugging and opening the case tonight as its 3am
slot 1 is 1g
slot 2 is 256
slot 3 is 1g
slot 4 256

i pulled the 512 of ram out but it wont let me go back to 30
5 o/c could the new ram be faulty?
