Custom built AMD 4x86 DX40. 4MB RAM. 80MB HDD. Someone gave it to me when they upgraded to the original Pentium. I added a 4x CD-ROM drive and a Sound Blaster 16 ISA. And so it began...

hmm.... i do remember having three desktops...

the first one was an old Window 98 machine with a PIII in it... god it was a old crap, but i played Warcraft 2, always playing the map of the real world. I feel like i was truly conquering continents. Do they make games like that anymore, the one where you take over the world?

next one was a P4 with a BFG 6800gt, bought it for Half-life 2. I remember looking at the textures and thinking "OMG so LifeLIKE!" funny how expectations on graphics changes over the years.

After playin on xbox, then that thing blew up, a friend of mine offered to build a pc for me, oh NICE. it was a budget of $800, and my sig rig you see now is the same except for GTX 260 and Phenom ii 720, as well as there were only 4 gigs initially.

But that's nothing compared to the laptops i've had...

Dell 12 inch laptop from 2003 with a PIII in it, 1024x768 resolution...
Durabook Pentium single core....
Thinkpad Core 2 Duo
Macbook Pro 15 inch with T9600 and 9600m GT
another thinkpad, a more modern one with 32nm Core i3 processor...

and my main laptop: Sager NP 8690, twas a beauty.
GTX 470m, 8 gigs, 500 gb HDD + 1TB external, Core i7 740qm.

K-Pro 386

MS-DOS 4 I think? Parents gave it to me with some learning game on it (*word star?) However they didn't know ANYTHING about computers so I had this machine w/ a DOS prompt I messed around with. Given some time I acquired some Windows 3.11 Windows for Workgroup discs from my parents office.

Long story short, I've been doing wipe and reloads since I was like 10ish.

I gotta say, thinking about what I started with its fricking crazy where were at now.

5 1/4 floppies vs Blu ray in terms of size vs storage .. lawl

some IBM, it was blue, and had badly designed usb ports so they have a faschia at an angle, so you could only use the top two USB ports on the front, hmmm, i think i will dig it out.
