What was your first Computer??? - Page 21

Mark another one down for the Tandy!

Tandy 1000hx... a few hundred K memory, a COLOR monitor, a printer and a joystick for the sale price of like, $1200-something. (Didn't have the optional hard drive either, hah)

I have more ghz on my current processor than that thing had mhz!

The old sierra games were great though... Space quest series, kings quest, police quest... ahh, memories... drink 3 beers and fly to sector HH!

My first one was a hand me down.

Was a Micron Millenia EX with a PIII processor at a blazing 600 MHZ, 256 MB of RAM (don't remember type), onboard video, and a 20GB HD with XP installed. The thing never really broke down, just got so slow that I used it as a nightstand when I got my next computer..

Crazy stuff. Could handle MS Flight sim 2004 on low settings though back in the day.. Along with Empire Earth 1, Sim City 3000, and C&C Red Alert 2. Empire earth 1 is the only one of the series I've ever liked.

400 Mhz Celeron
192 Mb of ram
20 Gb HDD

It took just under 10 seconds to show the start menu when clicked in Windows XP.

Found my first computer in the garage...took a quick pic

I should max this out at 72MB RAM...or maybe an Intel Overdrive.
