But I didn't mess with it much... The first computer I really enjoyed was my 386SX
20 Mhz CPU (turbo to 35 I think) 2 MEGABYTES of ram... a 120 megabyte hard drive!! It even came with an INTERNAL 1200 baud modem!

What? 120Mb hd? That was huge for an 386 i belive!

The first computer that my family had was a Packard Bell with a 486SX 25Mhz processor that we later upgraded to a 486DX2. I think it had 16MB of RAM, but I really can't remember. I guess I was 10 or so at the time.

The first computer I ever bought and built for myself was a socket 478 Pentium 4 1.8Ghz, with 768MB of Rambus DRAM (which I was convinced was going to beat out DDR), and a Geforce 4 ti4400.

I had worked for a little computer shop for a couple of years before that, so I had scrounged together parts to build myself an AMD K62 machine before that. I'd built many computers by then, but that was the first one I paid for and built for gaming. I'm not sure whatever happened to the case, but I still have the CPU, mobo, and RAM.

I remember that is why my dad bought a Toshiba Infinia back in 1996. Black was so unusual back then. It had a 200mhz Pentium, 16mb ram, and a 1.5gb hdd.

I think we paid about $3,500 for it haha. We were the first people I knew that had AOL dial up though biggrin.gif
